How this works

We don't rate contractors. We make the public record readable. Every status here is computed from the Oregon Construction Contractors Board (CCB) active-license data, published on the Oregon Open Data Portal.

What the marks mean

• No mark — the license is active and every protection the license type requires (bond, insurance) is unexpired.
• Warning triangle — the license is active, but a required protection's expiration date has passed. We name which one and the date.
• × — the license appeared in the active registry before but no longer does. We state the date last seen and nothing more; the CCB feed does not disclose why a license leaves.

Why some contractors carry no bond or insurance

Some license types — lead-paint renovators, home inspectors, locksmiths — legitimately require no bond or insurance. A blank where nothing is required is not a gap.

Freshness & complaints

Data syncs daily from the portal; each profile shows when the data was current. Complaint and disciplinary history is not included here and lives on the official CCB record, which we link from every profile.
