Romerico's contractor search page is designed to make public contractor records easier to search and understand — not to collect unnecessary information about the people who use the site.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Romerico processes when you visit romeri.co, why it is processed, and how it is handled.

Information processed when you use the site

You do not need to create an account or provide your name or email address to search Romerico.

Like most websites, Romerico and its service providers may automatically process limited technical information when you use the site, including:

• IP address;
• browser and device type;
• operating system;
• pages viewed and links selected;
• referring page;
• approximate location derived from an IP address;
• date, time, and duration of a visit; and
• diagnostic, security, and performance information.

We use this information to operate and secure the site, understand general usage, identify technical problems, and improve Romerico.

We configure our analytics to minimize the collection and retention of information that could identify an individual. We do not use analytics to create profiles about individual visitors or to track visitors across unrelated websites.

Information you choose to provide

If you email Romerico, we may receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any other information you choose to provide.

We use that information to respond to you, investigate the issues you raise, maintain the accuracy of the service, and protect the site from misuse.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for us to address your request.

What we do not do

Romerico does not:

• operate third-party advertising trackers;
• require an account to search contractor records; or
• use individual search activity to rate, rank, or evaluate contractors or visitors.

Service providers

Romerico may use service providers for website hosting, analytics, security, error monitoring, email, and other technical operations.

These providers may process limited information on Romerico’s behalf to perform their services. We do not authorize them to use that information for their own targeted advertising.

The specific providers used by Romerico may change as the service develops. This Privacy Policy will be updated when a material change affects how personal information is processed.

Contractor information and public records

The contractor license, bond, insurance, and business information displayed by Romerico is obtained from public records published by the State of Oregon.

Romerico does not obtain this information directly from contractors. It organizes and presents government-published information in a format intended to be easier to search and understand.

Some public records may identify an individual, including a sole proprietor or business owner. The fact that information appears in a public record does not mean that Romerico treats it without care.

Google information and links

Romerico may display or link to information made available by Google, such as a business rating, review count, map, or business page.

Romerico does not reproduce or store the full text of Google reviews unless expressly stated otherwise. We may retain the minimum identifiers and cached information reasonably necessary to provide or maintain the relevant feature, subject to applicable Google requirements.

When you use a Google feature or follow a link to Google, Google may receive technical information about your visit and will process that information under its own privacy policy and terms. Romerico does not control Google’s data practices.

Cookies and similar technologies

Romerico may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies that are necessary to operate, secure, measure, and improve the site.

We do not use these technologies for targeted advertising or cross-site behavioral tracking.

The exact technologies used depend on the hosting, analytics, and security tools active on the site. Where required by law, Romerico will provide appropriate notice or choices before using nonessential technologies.

Data retention

We retain technical and analytics information only for as long as reasonably necessary for site operation, security, troubleshooting, analysis, and legal compliance.

Messages you send us may be retained while we investigate and respond to them and for a reasonable period afterward to document the resolution or protect against misuse.

Data security

Romerico uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, loss, or disclosure.

No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Romerico may link to the Oregon CCB, Google, and other external websites. Those websites are operated independently and have their own privacy practices. Romerico is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external services.

Children

Romerico is a general-audience public-record search service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children under 13.

Privacy rights

Depending on where you live and whether applicable legal thresholds are met, you may have rights concerning personal information processed about you.

Information displayed from an official Oregon public record may need to be corrected at the government source. Romerico may direct requests concerning official contractor records to the Oregon Construction Contractors Board.

Changes to this policy

Romerico may update this Privacy Policy as the site and its features develop.

If a material change affects how personal information is collected, used, or shared, we will update this page before or when the change takes effect and revise the effective date above.
