Oregon CCB license records — baseline report, Q3 2026

Among 56,048 active license records carrying an original-registration date, the earliest is 1972 and the median time since first registration is 7.9 years.

Because the CCB active file lists only currently-active records, earlier years appear smaller purely because licenses that have since lapsed are absent from the snapshot. This is a survivorship effect, not a measure of how many licenses were issued in those years.

Figures come from the Oregon CCB Active Licenses dataset on the Oregon Open Data Portal. Each edition is computed on its snapshot date and is finalized from the CCB data at the close of its quarter; a metric introduced in a later edition has history only from the edition in which it was introduced. Metric definitions are frozen (definition set v1); any later change is footnoted in the edition that changes it. Every figure counts records and is a statement about the CCB record, not about Oregon's construction industry.

Active license records

Count of license records whose status is “active” in the snapshot.

Records flagged needs attention

Count of active license records where a protection the license type requires — surety bond, liability insurance, or both — shows an expiration date before the snapshot date. A protection that is simply absent from the record is not counted.

Records listed not active

Count of license records whose status is “no longer active” — records previously observed in the CCB active file and absent from the current snapshot.

Bond expiration within 90 days

Count of active license records whose surety-bond expiration date falls between the snapshot date and 90 days after it, inclusive.

Insurance expiration within 60 days

Count of active license records whose liability-insurance expiration date falls between the snapshot date and 60 days after it, inclusive.

Active records by county address

Active license records grouped by the county-name field on the record. Reflects the county value in the CCB record, which is self-reported and may not correspond geographically.
